Nepal:Land of Festivals
Nepal is so exciting because every month there is a festival that requires being celebrated. Would you believe that more than four festivals are being a held for each month of the year? Yes, it’s true.
Well, the government will not make all those festivals an official holiday, only the main festivals like Holi, Goede Jatra, Gai Jatra, Laxmi Puja, Bhai Tika, Bijaya Dashami and a lot more. The main festivals are celebrated fabulously, some will paint their houses and decorate with colorful flowers. Some festivals can last up to 15 days. Sure, it’s fun to celebrate festivals in Nepal.
These festivals are commonly celebrated at home, temples and public places. Festivals are scheduled according to a lunar calendar. Most of these festivals have an important religious aspect. Thus, we can say that Nepal is the “Land of Festivals”. Here are the lists of Festivals in Nepal.
Note: The months in which the festivals are celebrated may changed depending on the lunar calendar
